Lady: My Life as a Bitch by Melvin Burgess

This book was a major disappointment. The concept behind this book is great. It's about a girl who is turned into a dog. The author could have gone all sorts of directions with this book, but he decided to run around in circles instead (perhaps he was chasing his tail?).

This book could have been hilarious. It should have been. I wanted it to be. The author, instead of exploring various different things that a dog might see/experience/feel, revisited the same three or four ideas over and over again, adding absolutely nothing new each time he revisited them.

1. Dogs go into heat.
2. They like to sniff eachother.
3. They hate cats.
4. They like to go hunting.

That's about it. Very little humor in this type of book = dry and boring read.
